Experience shapes the design.
People give it purpose.
Lakeside Design Group is a landscape design and consulting studio creating distinctive outdoor environments throughout Chicagoland and Southwest Michigan. We believe great landscapes start with listening, thoughtful planning, and a clear vision for how a space should look, feel, and function.
A career built around outdoor living.
Founded by Todd Dickey in 2022, Lakeside Design Group brings more than 24 years of high-end residential design/build experience to every project. From initial concepts to detailed drawings, estimating, permitting, and construction coordination, that experience informs designs that are both inspiring and practical to build.
Our role is intentionally collaborative. We work alongside homeowners, architects, landscape professionals, pool contractors, and builders—providing thoughtful design and experienced guidance.
Designed for the moments that matter.
Outdoor spaces become part of our everyday lives: a place to gather, unwind, celebrate, and make memories. As a parent, I understand how much those simple moments matter—and how the right setting can bring people together.
That personal perspective is at the heart of Lakeside Design Group. We create spaces that feel thoughtfully designed and welcoming, while meeting the practical needs of the people who use them.
Design expertise.
From vision to reality.
Our services span conceptual landscape design, presentation plans, 3D visualization, detailed documentation, estimating, permit support, and design consultation through implementation. Whether working directly with a homeowner or providing specialized support to another design/build team, our goal is the same: thoughtful, cohesive, buildable design.
Let's create something exceptional.
